I am delighted to take this opportunity to introduce our sixth form to you and to tell you something of its development in recent years.  Until this year, the sixth form provision was quite moderate and certainly could not be described as inspirational in terms of accommodation.  Today our students enjoy state of the art facilities in a purpose built sixth form provision which meets the needs of todays learners.

Our sixth form provision does not rest with state of the art learning facilities.  During the past two years we have invested heavily in ensuring the quality of our teaching provision.  Consequently our most recent ‘A’ level results show our teaching is in the top 30% of schools in the country (Source Alps Report 2008). Our school and curriculum is predominantly set up to be broadly similar to a comprehensive school.  Our experienced staff are able to teach across a wide range of ability and therefore I can personally commend their achievements to you.

We offer a comprehensive range of subjects which includes 36 ‘A’ level or equivalent subjects and four level two courses also.
