Y7 Recipe Ingredients

 

1. Fruit salad

1 red apple
1 green apple
1 orange
Slice of melon
Slice of pineapple
1 kiwi fruit
4 strawberries-optional
6 red grapes
1/4 lemon

Container with lid to take fruit salad home.
(large Klip lock box is ideal)

Could use any fruit of choice eg. Mango, papaya etc

 
2. Pasta Salad

100g pasta
2 tbls red kidney beans
2 tbls sweetcorn
1/2 onion
1/2 each of red & green pepper
2 tbsp mayonnaise

Container with lid to take pasta salad home.
(Large Klip lock box is ideal)

Could use salad dressing such as Ceasar salad
or a vinaigrette instead of mayonnaise.
Could add different vegetables.

   
3. Apple and Sultana crumble 
 
4. Fruit Flapjacks

100g pl flour
50g butter or margarine
50g oats
25g sugar
2 apples
50g sultanas

OVENPROOF container to cook it in. Tin foil to cover
and a container or bag to take the cooked crumble home.

Could use other fruits: blackberries, apricots,
raspberries, plums, peaches or pears.

 

 

75g dried apricots
150g oats
50g sugar
50g butter or margarine
2 tbsp golden syrup

Container to take flapjacks home.

Could use sultanas, figs mixed fruit.
Could add cinnamon, ginger or mixed spice.
Could use grated apple or carrot.

 

   
5. Herby Vegetable Crumble
 
6. Banana and Chocolate chip muffins

150g wholemeal flour
40g butter or margarine
50g cheese, eg cheddar
50g oats
2 small leeks
1 red pepper
4 mushrooms
1 can chopped tomatoes
2 tsp mixed herbs

OVENPROOF dish (20x20cm)
Foil to cover and container or bag to take cooked dish home

(Could have sweetcorn or Broccoli)

 

 

300g pl flour
1 tbsp baking powder
86g soft brown sugar
150ml milk
1 egg
100ml sunflower oil
2 ripe bananas
60g chocolate chips—optional

12 muffin cases
